CoD4: Modern Warfare was the first CoD game I played & it got me hooked on the franchise, so I am going to go with that as my favorite.
I do like some of the features (like the Wager Matches) that were added in to Black Ops as well.

Never got into COD until Black ops, so guess this is my fave game in the series? Always up for some DLC to get more out of it though.
My favorite CoD game was Modern Warfare
Call of Duty 4 is my favorite! It has the perfect pacing and a great story that isn’t drifting into rediculous Michael Bay territory like MW2 did. It’s not without its flaws, I’m looking at you grenade spam and magic clone boxes, but all in all it’s the pinnacle of the series. It’s the only game I felt motivated to get a full 1000GS and believe me after 2 hours of playing Mile High on veteran I was about to pop a vein. To this day that is one of my proudest moments in my achievements history. Sadly MW2 couldn’t even repeat that!

My favorite cod game is call of duty 4:modern warfare because sniping is perfect in that game, plus all the perks and weapons are balanced, but dont get me wrong black ops is a very close second!!

No overpowered air supports just 3,5 and 7 killstreaks. Probably the best online FPS I've ever played.

My current favorite has to be Call of Duty: Black Ops, which is definitely why I want the First Strike DLC! I usually get into the most recently released CoD. However, I give CoD 4 (the first Modern Warfare) the most props because it was the release that started the super addictive multiplayer frenzy!

CoD 4 because of the epic storyline and because of the mile high club mission. I spent two hours trying to get that damn achievement and god i felt awesome when i got it.

This is a toss-up between CoD4 and Black Ops. I absolutely loved CoD4 for many reasons including the new and much-needed depth it brought to my FPS addiction. The story was great and the multiplayer was CLASSIC. We played our fare share while on liberty in the Navy!
After the disappointment that was MW2 due to the bugs that frustrated me to no end, I picked up Black Ops on release night after much thought and hesitation. I was glad I made that decision. Black Ops is everything I hoped it would be and very little of what I feared. It's not perfect, but it's good enough to keep me content! It's already provided countless hours of fun and I don't see an end to that! I'm really looking forward to the new maps! Treyarch has done an outstanding job on the level designs!

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the best of all time for me. It was the perfect match for me, Snipers were easy to use and hard at the same time. Competition was mixed. Life was great on Call of Duty 4

Loving Black Ops. I'll never forget playing the very first Call of Duty and the cinematic presentation that blew me away, but Black Ops is absolutely pure fun, full to the brim with content and new ways to play and have fun, online, via local co-op, or in single player.

I really liked MW2 to be honest. The multiplayer was sometimes unbalanced, but it was tons of fun. I also really miss carrying an assault rifle around with a SPAZ as my secondary weapon…
Black Ops. I like the balance for the most part and while I don't love every map, there's really no maps that drive me nuts like in past COD games.

My favorite Call of Duty to date is got to be between Call of Duty 4 and Call of Duty Black Ops in terms of multiplayer. I never really bothered with the single player aspect of Call of Duty games as they all seem similar to me. CoD4 had a really nice feel and pretty much had all the guns, perks and maps perfect. If Infinity Ward actually supported the game and fixed glitches and made patches such as weakening the frag grenades and the x3 frag grenades perk, CoD4 might have been the best CoD to date. With Black Ops they introduced many new elements to the multiplayer portion of the game with contracts, emblem and a more in-depth leaderboard such as the top killstreaks and weapons used. MW2 was probably the worst supported game amongst all the CoD games and Black Ops being the opposite. Black Ops also has an additional theatre mode and a wonderfully improved zombies game mode from CoD: WaW compared to nothing in CoD4. The Variety Map Pack was a disappointment with 4 bad maps especially Creek. The First Strike Map Pack has 4 new maps and 1 new zombie map. You can tell that Treyarch put time into the new maps with changing environments such as the zip-lines in Kowloon the the destructible bridge in Discovery. Ascension is probably the best zombie map to date with launchers, new perks and enemies. With all the new additions to Black Ops and the support it is getting I think that Call of Duty Black Ops is the best Call od Duty to date.
My favorite COD to date is Black Ops because of the new modes and the support that it is getting from Treyarch. Zombies can pretty much be a separate game. MW2 is the worst COD game with infinitely many glitches and zero support from Infinity Ward. The single player for Black Ops really sucks you into the characters.

My favorite is Call of Duty: World at War. It was the first time I realized I had a zombie-killing problem. I think played I Nazi Zombies more than the actual game itself.
Well I started the Call Of Duty series with Modern Warfare 2. I absolutley loved it! Aside from the noob tubes and boosters, the game was so much fun! My friends and I would rig a lobby in free-for-all (before patch, after patch we rigged barebones lobbies) and we would have things life quickscoping only or knives only. It was amazing fun! Sadly, because of the cheap quality of the discs used to make Modern Warfare 2, my disc got a crack in it and I was never able to play again.
:( / I still had great times with it though. Thanks to Infinity Ward for making such a great game!

Modern Warfare 2. Idk, despite the unbalanced aspects of it including certain weapons, perks, etc. I still have the craving to kill everyone with modern weapons and mow down enemies with my chopper gunner. It's just so satisfying, I mean Black Ops is a great game and all. But MW2 just has that certain…feel to it.

i loved call of duty 2 it changed my life! it had epic story that i think all most every other FPS has copied to date with four points of view during the story! i felt the pain these guys went through in the story it was epic!
for me I remember playin the first cod which I really like then I jumped on cod4 which is my favorite of all time
World at War, lots of people tell me how terrible it is but I loved it. Not only could you battle off endless zombies but online was amazing mainly because of the sweet weapons, yes im talking about the flamethrower!
My fave COD's had to be Black Ops and World at War!!! I just love games that take me back to the past and give me that great gaming experience every gamer wants!
I have enjoyed all of the COD series, all the way back to the first on PC. My favorite is probably COD2, although my mind is probably playing tricks on me as to how good it was. Right now it is Black Ops for multiplayer.

Snap…I know im a little late but i always thinks its never too late, but i do have to say Black Ops is the best in my opinion, more tactical moves like diving and zombies in the same game …its awesome.
