Things have been busy with Bethesda being focused on the release of Skyrim but they’ve not forgotten about Splash Damage’s Brink.

Bethesda have posted some information on a new update which will be available on all platforms and will bring full clan support, tournaments which they call Event Ladders and a Global Clan Ladder.

First and foremost, you’ll now be able to create and manage your own Brink Clan right on the website. Once you’ve selected a name for your Clan and registered it, it’ll get a dedicated profile page displaying its members as well as a breakdown of clan statistics like its current ranking, wins and losses, and upcoming Clan matches. From there, you’ll also be able to invite others to join your squad, toggle your Clan’s recruitment status, review applications of players applying for membership, and manage the privileges available to each of your Clan members.

The new Battle Brink site will be released at the same time the update is released, though no word on when that will be.

While the Witcher 2 has been a hit with gamers and critics alike so far, the title is far from perfect. CD Projekt has been working on fixing all the issues that have popped up with the title and version 1.1, which is available at time of writing, patches the game up to streamline the installation process, fixes an issue with the free “Troll Trouble” DLC (which is included in the patch files), enhances framerate and loading, and fixes “random crashes occurring on some systems, especially after saving and loading saves.”

Another patch is due out next week that will fix more, currently unlisted problems with the title. You can check out a full list of what has already been patched at the official site.

While you may have thought that all the problems and glitches you ran into while playing Portal 2 on the PC were all part of the sadistic plan of your robot overlords, it seems that it was all just a glitch in the system.

The latest patch for the title doesn’t make the game any easier or limit the amount of fat jokes that are tossed your way but it does resolve that nasty crashing while Alt-Tabbing out.

A few more changes sneaked in as well such as increased joystick support. You can read the entire patch notes here.

Lets be honest; Modern Warfare 2 was pretty much unplayable and not fun unless you were one of those people who gained enjoyment out of ruining everyone else’s leisure time for quite some time now. Sony released a patch to help alleviate the issue of people bypassing security on the console and apparently that change has allowed Infinity Ward to patch up the holes that were present in the title.

Robert Bowling announced that a patch will be released on the PS3 on March 8th (along with the PC and 360 shortly afterwards) specifically to address the hacking issue. Bowling issued a longer statement on the official website but was specifically vague in order to keep people from attempting to find loopholes in their patch.

Along with the hacking issue, they will fix the issue with people glitching through the rocks in the Fuel level; I’m especially thankful for that considering it led to many a rage-quit (especially when playing Hardcore).

PS3 gamers haven’t had much luck in the Call of Duty area these past few weeks with the whole hacking issue but at least they won’t sit at a load screen indefinitely anymore. A patch was released today for the PS3 version of Black Ops that fixes that nasty infinite loading screen as well as a number of freezing issues that users were reporting.

To help get you back into the groove of things the patch also included some weapon balancing as well as new Contracts to get some bucks and experience for.
