As the battle between the Templars and the Assassins rages on, Desmond Miles must once again return to the Animus and skate the chains of his DNA to unlock more memories of ancestors past and hopefully regain some of the power that was previously locked away. Previous connection to the Animus granted Desmond the power of advanced sight, enhanced climbing and movement abilities, and he even found Ezio’s hidden blade – but as Desmond delves into a new ancestor’s story, what new secrets will he find and will learning more about his descendants help his future?

In Assassin’s Creed III, Desmond relives the journeys of yet another member of his Assassin ancestry – a fierce half-British, half-Mohawk Indian warrior called Ratonhnhaké:ton. As a child, he watched his people suffer at the hands of the Colonists. Taking their suffering in mind, he sought out to protect those who could not defend themselves from tyranny and oppression.  Ratonhnhaké:ton eventually became a member of the Assassin’s Order, with that he adopted a new moniker; one that would allow him to easily skitter amongst the colonial people. This doesn’t happen very often, but holy crap I’m kind of jealous of the Latin American PlayStation users. They’re getting this killer God of War: Omega Edition in order to prepare for the upcoming God of War: Ascension.

Translated from the Latin America PS Blog:

At PlayStation Latin America, we are excited to finally show you the God of War: Omega Collection, brought directly from Olympus and unique to our regionOur fans spoke and we listened. We worked for months with Santa Monica Studios to create this tribute to one of our most important series.

This collection comes with a bronze statue of Kratos, a God of War Steelbook, and a copy of the God of War Collection (containing the HD versions of the PS2′s God of War and God of War II), God of War III, and God of War: Origins (which contains the HD versions of the PSP games God of War: Chains of Olympus and God of War: Ghost of Sparta).

I keep throwing my money at the screen but nothing is happening. Oh well, this collection is awesome and hopefully we’ll see one like it release in North America if it sells well in Latin America.

No word on price yet.

Sony uploaded a new photo to the PlayStation Facebook account, which changed their timeline photo to suggest we may be seeing a resurfacing of a once self-slain hero.

The broken font practically screams “God of War” to me, but knowing Sony, this could literally be anything. Still, I’d say some sort of continuation of the God of War franchise makes sense, given the ending of God of War 3.

What if it’s two games? God of War: Vengeance where Deimos goes after the Gods for the death of Kratos, and God of War: Redemption where Kratos finally does destroy all of the remaining Gods, leaving himself as the sole deity?

One thing is for sure, April 19th is going to be an interesting day on the Sony front.
