Tetsuya Nomura, director of Kingdom Hearts, spoke with Famitsu and provided some new information regarding the upcoming 3DS version of Kingdom Hearts. Nomura mentioned that the 3DS iteration would have the longest ending cutscene in the series and that the true forms of villains Ansem and Xemnas will be revealed during the course of it. Nomura also continued to give more information in regards to the title, such as the new Ability Link and Dream Eater systems.

“At first, I initially wanted to develop another form of the command board from Birth by Sleep,” Nomura reveals. “Then I mixed the growth systems of Re:Coded and 358/2 Days and came up with a new idea that became the Ability Link feature.”

According to Nomura, Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance will take about 35 hours to complete for those who want to go straight to the ending. The title will be available on March 29th.
